Dr. Guest’s Biography: He was born and raised in Grosse Pointe. He realized his passion for treating people at a young age and found his love for ophthalmology prior to attending medical school by working as a technician and a scribe for ophthalmologists. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Michigan State University and his Medical Degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his transitional year residency at Beaumont Hospital Dearborn/Taylor.
Dr. Guest completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the renowned Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, where he served as Chief Resident. During his residency, he was honored with the Golden Apple award for Outstanding Resident Teacher. He prides himself on teaching patients about their own eyes so they may fully understand their individual eye conditions and make educated decisions on their eye care with him. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds privileges at Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe.
Outside of medicine he spends his free time with his wife Alexa, two children Grace and Gordon, and two golden retrievers. Sports have always been a big part of his life and he enjoys playing whenever he can. He enjoys attending and cheering on the Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings as well.
He is excited to be working in the community that he was raised in.
