MEDICAL RESEARCH CONTRIBUTIONS:

Investigator at USAFSAM Ophthalmology Branch Research Projects concerned with visual system measurements, techniques and normal values in aircrewmen. The principal objective of these studies is the maintenance of continuity of vision and understanding of visual limitations in the operation of manned aerospace vehicles, to investigate dynamic stress effects on the visual system and to study ocular aging to assure proper physical standard criteria, therapy and/or prevention.

Investigator at USAFSAM Ophthalmology Branch Research Projects on visual system diseases in aircrewman. The objective of this aspect of research studies is to determine incidence and significance of diseases of the visual system in flying personnel from the standpoint of retention without compromising flying safety, to develop the means to prevent or correct such disorders, and to develop technique for early diagnosis or prediction of development of such disorders.
